Company History

As pioneers in the specialty coffee industry, Teri Hope and her Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company have helped set the standard in American Specialty Coffee Roasting and coffee education. Teri's innovative format, featuring coffee roasting on-site in a retail shop combined with a European-style espresso bar and coffeehouse, became a model in the industry. Teri was a charter member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America and has served two terms on the SCAA Board of Directors continuing her longstanding active membership in the trade.

On the local front, Teri has been extremely active in her community since day one. As a Board Member of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, Teri founded the beloved Holiday Horse Drawn Carriage program which has delighted families and enhances commerce each holiday season since the early 1980's.

Teri has served on the Los Gatos Arts Commission and was a founding member of the Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club. Teri founded the Los Gatos "Jazz on the Plazz" summer concert series and is the President of the Los Gatos Music & Arts 501 (c)(3) Non-profit umbrella organization which produces the Jazz series and the Los Gatos Music in the Park summer series. Teri also serves on the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Foundation. Giving back to her community has been a constant element of Teri's mission.
